Jesus invites us to participate in the process of eastering, of moving from what is dead in ourselves to what is living so that we might live in the promise inherent in St. John's belief of Jesus' mission: "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10).The problem is that there are impediments between us and both Easter and eastering. Often, we are not conscious of our impediments, even when they are self-generated. In walking through the last week of Jesus' life, through the lens of Luke's Gospel, we will explore the external and internal impediments through the metaphorical and actual stones brought forth in Luke's stories.
The objective for everyone attending will be to become an "Easter people" so that they might share the fullness of life in Christ with others as we embrace our parish mission of nurturing Christ's disciples.
