Young Catholics (7-12)

CORE member

In need of adults young and old willing to share the good news of what God has done in their life with young people. An hour and half a week, Wednesday evenings. If you can ask questions, lead a silly game, or encourage someone, you can be a CORE member!

Hospitality

In need of adults who can welcome young people to the meetings, create a warm and open environment, and ensure that they safely arrive and leave with parents. An hour and half a week, Wednesday evenings.

Young Disciples (K-6)

Hall monitor

  • Visibly present in hallways during Family Formation sessions, monitoring restrooms, and classrooms on Sunday and Wednesday.
  • 2 hours per session arrive 15 minutes prior to the session.
  • Requesting 2 on Sunday and 2 on Wednesday (B1) and (B2)

Childcare

  • Manages and provides a mini-lesson to children under the age of 5, so their parents may attend a formation session in the church.
  • 2 hours per session arrive 15 minutes prior to the session and stay until all children are picked up.
  • Requesting 3 on Sunday and 3 on Wednesday in (B2).

Hospitality

  • In the Church, welcome parents and monitor the front door, assist with paperwork and logistics during the parent formation sessions.

  • 2 hours per session arrive 15 minutes prior to the session and help with the clean up of the church at the end of the session.

  • Requesting 1 on Sunday and 1 on Wednesday

  • In Building 1, welcome parents and children when they arrive, monitor the front door and assist with paperwork, phone and logistics during the Family Formation sessions.

  • 2 hours per session arrive 15 minutes prior to the session and assist with parent pick-up.

  • Requesting 1 on Sunday and 1 on Wednesday

Security

  • Monitors traffic flow and helps with logistics regarding families before and after Family Formation.
  • 2 hours per session arrive 15 minutes prior to the session and remain 15 minutes after the session has ended.
  • Requesting 2 on Sunday and 2 on Wednesday

Young Disciples Family Formation Lead Catechists (K-6)

  • Prepare for each lesson prior to each monthly session works and communicates with an aide
  • Assists families in forming their child(ren) in the Catholic Faith
  • Prepare for each monthly lesson prior to class
  • 2 hours per session arrive 15 minutes prior to the session and stay until all young disciples are picked up by a parent.
  • Attend monthly Catechist Training sessions (1 hour 30 minutes) dinner provided.

Young Disciples Family Formation Aide (K-6)

  • Assist Lead Catechist during each monthly session and may teach if called upon.
  • Read the lesson prior to each session and be familiar with the lesson.
  • 2 hours per session arrive 15 minutes prior to the session and stay until all young disciples are picked up by a parent.
  • Attend monthly Catechist Training sessions (1 hour 30 minutes) dinner provided.
