Campaign Questions
Why are we building in phases?
Like most of the great churches of the world, the new church will be built in phases. This approach allowed the parish to break ground sooner while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
What do we get with each phase?
- Phase I – Nave and Narthex, choir loft, steeple, site infrastructure, and parking.
- Phase II – Transepts, Sanctuary and Sacristy. Seating capacity: 750
How much will the phased construction cost?
- Phase I: $6,500,000
- Phase II: To be determined by costs at the time we plan Phase II.
Do these prices include stained glass windows and sacred art?
The price includes statues of Mary, St. Joseph, St. Patrick and St. Martin of Tours. It does
not include the price of stained glass windows. We have received a quote for the Rose
window and all other exterior windows that gives an installed cost of $550,000.
Are past Building Fund donations go to the new church?
Yes. The Building Fund raised over $2.9 million toward the new church. These donations
have been already used to make payments on construction expenses, but will only meet
a portion of the ultimate cost. To raise the rest of the dollars, we need families to
consider a sacrificial gift fulfilled over the pledge period.
How much has been pledged so far and how much have we received?
As of 6/30/23
Pledges/Donations/Grant: $2,689,867.24
Received by Capital Campaign: $2,199,743.94
Total of Pledges: $2,653,814.61
Pledge Payments Received: $2,179,297.51
Pledge Payments Remaining: $474,517.10
What happens to the current church?
It stays where it is and we will continue to use it!
How many people/families have donated to the Capital Campaign?
Over 460 individuals and families have made one-time or recurring donations to the Capital Campaign.
Can I pledge over time?
Our campaign offers a wide range of gift opportunities to participate at all levels. You may choose a plan that provides you with flexibility and time to complete your pledge payment. You can pay weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually or one-time. Because our needs are urgent, we encourage you to complete your pledge over the three-year pledge period.

Can I make a donation in memory of a loved one?
Yes, you can either online or sending this form with your donation to the parish office. We will add the loved one’s name on the Donor Wall and, if you wish, send a letter to the family informing them of the donation.

Can I make a donation or pledge and not have my name on the Donor Wall?
Yes, you can. The pledge form has an option for anonymous donations.
Is my pledge legally binding? Is it confidential?
A pledge is not legally binding. It is a meaningful and sacrificial gift. All we ask is that you do your best to fulfill your commitment and advise us of any financial changes that will impact your pledge. We will keep pledges as confidential as possible; only those responsible for maintaining the records have access to your pledge.
How will the campaign affect parish offertory?
Since we ask parishioners to make a campaign pledge that is above and beyond their regular giving, in the short term, we expect offertory to remain constant. In the long term, similar campaigns produced an increase in offertory by raising the sights of parishioners and their commitment to the church.
Are campaign commitments tax deductible?
Gifts to the campaign are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. The application of such laws varies with individual circumstances. Donors with specific questions regarding tax deductibility should contact their attorneys.
